Local Artisan~Bethany Rose~Designs for Chef Jose Salazar

I’m going to attempt to begin a little catch up and actually share all that I’ve been photographing for the last 4 months (not necessarily in order.)
First up, a little session I shot last week of pottery artist Bethany Rose Kramer for Chef Jose Salazar’s soon to be open restaurant, Salazar, in OTR.
Just as sourcing and using local seasonal ingredients are an important aspect of his menu, so was sourcing and using local artisans on the design/artistic details of his restaurant ~ of which he will also be sharing on his upcoming website.
He remembered seeing Bethany’s work at a farmer’s market a few years back and kept her card. For the past month, she has been creating all the service ware that will be used at his new restaurant.
Below are a few glimpses of this beautiful, and wonderfully talented local artist, her quaint home studio, and the gorgeous signature pieces she has created for Chef Jose Salazar.
(I can’t wait to photograph his food on these plates)
